I present another argument for why we should introduce ark innocence scrolls (but at the same rate as current innocence scrolls).

Having talked to a few end game players, we believe that it costs on average 20k worth of innos to produce a good/great mcs that is worth keeping.

Currently, the most dp efficient ways to increase your stat for a given piece of gear are to scroll it -> dslot 1-5ish -> pbox 17-21 -> dslot 6-7 -> mcs the item.

However, the inability to pbox without a finished mcs means that we have to either invest 20k to get a good mcs, or lower the resale value of the item with higher pboxes/be forced to waste our 17-21* pboxes when we do want to finish the item.

If we had ark inno scrolls, we could strengthen our gear in the most cost-efficient manner without worrying about ruining the resale value of the item.

It's important that the ark inno scroll cost be roughly the same as inno scrolls, if the cost of an ark inno scroll was twice the cost of an inno, it would be just as efficient to just inno and re pbox.

Also, ark inno'd items won't be primable, but I think it's still valuable to allow people to be able to pbox their gear without worrying about the ability to resell the item, and also to be able to finish the item later without throwing away the investment into pboxes.

This is feasible, however, it will never be the same price as a regular Innocence Scroll regardless if they are the same success rate.

An Ark Innocence Scroll, if it passes, is able to retain all stars and stats acquired from Starforce enhancements alone, allowing you to directly work on the scrolling without sacrificing the need to enhance it all over again.

We will not add an option that is greatly superior to another yet costs the same amount of effort to acquire it.

I don't think this is a good implementation.
This will result in the end game equipment market being sorted in only 2 catagories.
Either the item is godly mcs-ed 21* or just 21* as any equip that isn't decently mcs-ed at 21* will all drop in value to have the same value as a super-scrolled 21* equip.
Same applies to any equip that is "completed" (18* and above)

I like the idea that it gives a separate option for end game gears, but I think it shouldn't be readily accessible like current innocence scrolls as it would affect both the current innocence market and end game gear market. Maybe implementing it like star force boxes are currently by having a meso cost + 'ark inno scroll' for the effect to be applied. And adding the ark inno scroll as an item in the nova coin market (~100-150 coins per scroll) to add some variation into current nova coin usage.

If the ark innocence scroll is more than twice as expensive as a regular innocence scroll, it'll be useless, since you'll need to spend 40k on innos instead of 20, which roughly offsets the 23k that you need to pbox back to 21* (At least at current market rates)

I disagree with this. I think the end game equipment market is already partitioned into two categories, items that have a good enough mcs to keep, and items that need to be inno'd. The later are just significantly harder to sell if they have 20/21*s, and the hope is that adding the ark innocence scroll would make staring these items less punishing.

What you are considering as end game equipment market that are already partitioned into two categories is most likely only 21* items, but what I consider is BiS equipments that are 18* and above.

I also disagree that it's parititioned into two categories at the moment as the price of the item still varies depending on how good the mcs is.
But once ark innocence scrolls is added, it will make it such that people will only look for items that fall into one of these two categories, either godly-mcs or 21*, resulting in the decently mcs-ed item to have the same value as a super scrolled item.

Also I find that having the Ark innocence scroll added does not benefit anyone except for end game players with mostly 21-22* equipments.
With the newly added safeguard option, it became significantly cheaper to get an item to 17-18* instead of 16* which was the stopping point for most players.
and like you said, if it cost 20k to get a great mcs on an item, only players with 21-22* equipments that have extra funds will benefit from having this scroll added as most players would rather invest in getting more stats by starforcing or saving to buy a better potential equip.
