Hi everyone, I thought it would be nice to make a progression guide for new players out there, as a relatively new player to AriesMS I think something like this would have been pretty nice to have when I first started. Since I'm pretty new to Aries as well I don't know everything there is to know about the game so please feel free to give me some suggestions below and I'll add them in.

Before getting into this guide I suggest reading this guide.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
・ Things to Note・
In AriesMS monsters will drop items that will be useful for progresion:
NX will be awarded when mobs are killed.
Mobs in Elite Channels will award more NX.

You can learn about coins here.

Red Cubes drop from almost all mobs (except for LHC mobs). Elite mobs that spawn while you grind/those spawned from a "Rune of Darkness" will always drop 1 Red Cube (Not Elite mobs in Elite channels). They can also be bought with Old Maple Coins.
1534191164802.png1534191186429.png

Bonus Potential Cubes can be bought with New Maple Coins and drop from mobs at Lion Heart Castle (LHC).
1534191308550.png1534191288016.png

Maple Leaves drop from all mobs in AriesMS and can be use in the FM to exchange for gear or EXP.
1534191350605.png

Under the mini map you can find the Quick Move command – this gives you quick access to towns (taxi icon), popular maps (ship icon).
For Boss Quick Move use the bossing tab.

Vote points are a really nice way to get some free resources every day.

・ How to get Vote Points・
While in game simply type @vote and a webpage will launch. Complete the recaptcha and click vote and you'll be awarded 3 vote points in-game.

・ Using Vote Points・
Generally you'll use your vote points on 2x EXP or 2x Drop Coupons
Most of the other offered items aren't worth it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
・ Starting Off・
Before making your main character you should make some Link Skill Mules.
Making these characters will ease your progression when you finally make your main. All your link mules should be leveled up to at least level 120 since level 120 unlocks level 2 link skills and is easily achievable. Below is the order I suggest making your Links.
Mercedes' link will give +15% exp - this will help you level up the next links more easily.

This will increase the duration of the EXP boost you get from runes whenever one is used. Another link to help you level up faster

Yet another EXP link mule - this will make combo orbs give more EXP. It's not completely necessary but it helps just a bit.

Before making your Legion Mules read this guide.

This part is completely optional, since getting Legion mules are a bit more complex and will take a little longer. For Legion mules all your characters should be at least level 140, this isn't too hard of a level to get to and it gets you S tier character cards. The only mule I recommend for this stage is Zero since it's character card will give you +8% EXP at S rank. While this is a nice boost to have the downside to this is that you will have to level up your Zero to at least lv. 180.

So its entirely up to you whether or not you want this. However, this is useful if you plan to reach very high levels (lv. 250 and beyond)
**note: Legion unlocks at 500 total levels over your account. So assuming you got the first three link mules to 120+ and a Zero to 180+ you will have enough levels to start using the legion board.

・ Tip 1・
Make sure to always use the EXP buffs you get from leveling up

・ Tip 2・
Buy a buff freezer in Cash Shop > Rewards Shop, so you don't lose your EXP buff in case of death/when doing Zakum. This costs 40 reward points and lasts a week. And you can transfer this via the cash shop to another character.

・ Tip 3・
Always have a active pet and make sure you always pick up all Old Maple Coins and Red Cubes.
Note: Elite mobs can be found in channel 11-15
To level up I generally follow this:
Lv. 10-30 : Elite Horny Mushrooms @ Heneseys
Lv. 30-70 : Elite Flaming Golems @ Golem's Temple 3
Lv. 70-100 : Roids @ Magatia: Lab - Area C-1
Lv. 100-110 : Aliens @ Alien Base Corridor
Lv. 110-125 : 2 Normal Zakum runs

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
・ Starting Out on Your Main・
To level up I generally follow this:
Lv. 10-30 : Elite Horny Mushrooms @ Heneseys
Lv. 30-70 : Elite Flaming Golems @ Golem's Temple 3
Lv. 70-100 : Roids @ Magatia: Lab - Area C-1
Lv. 100-110 : Aliens @ Alien Base Corridor
Lv. 110-125 : 2 Normal Zakum runs
Lv. 125-160 : Crockys @ Lionheart Castle
Lv. 160-200 : Evolution Lab (for this use a 2x coupon bought with vote points, a exp coupon you got from leveling and get cores from the Evolution shop: 1.5X monster HP, +7 Monster Level, +30% Monsters Spawn)

**note: If you have the patience for it I would stay at Alien Base Corridor until Lv. 160; although your leveling rate will be slowed, you will get more Maple coins and Red Cubes and thus more resources for making gear later on.

Once you reach level 200 you should start funding your character. As a new player, as disappointing as it may be, 5th job isn't very easy to obtain due to the 100 stars and 10 star weapon requirement. In my opinion rushing 5th job will hinder your progression, unless some kind soul is willing to lend you some equips. It's also difficult to do the arcane river questlines until you have a least a little bit of range (~500k).

**note: See below for information scrolling and starring gear

In AriesMS, if you don't have drop gear, you're not playing the game right. Drop gear is 100% essential in Aries and should be the first thing you fund. I've had a lot of people complain to me about not being able to make drop gear because it requires funding just to get the gear that they would use as drop gear. This is true for some of the gear, but for a majority of it is not.

Since in Aries the max drop rate is 600%, to max out your drop rate you will need to cube 8 items for drop rate.

It should be noted that only accessories can be cubed for as drop gear. This includes:
Pendants, Belts, Earrings, Face and Eye accessories, Rings, Shoulders
The most efficient items to use as started drop gear are as follows:
Earring: Pinnacle
Belt: Pinnacle
Shoulder: Pinnacle
Pendant: Onyx Maple Pendant
Face Accessory: Onyx Maple Gum
Eye Accessory: Aquatic Letter Eye Accessory ~20m in Auction House
1st Ring: Silver Blossom Ring ~150m in Auction House
2nd Ring: Tempest Ring ~200m in Auction House

**note: Onyx Maple gear can be obtained with maple leaves you collected while training. You'll need about 10k leaves to get both items so go get the leaves you farmed on your mules.
**note: to start off you don't have to get the rings if you don't have the funds for it (especially the rings) but you should get these as you progress further. **FUNDING TIPS BELOW**

Cubing your drop gear should be relatively easy if you followed the suggestions I made above. In my opinion cubing the Lv. 100 Pinnacle gear is worth it since you already have the gear. This is where Old Maple Coins and Red Cubes come into play.

Go onto your mules and use the Old Maple coins you picked up to buy Premium Red Cubes and Red Cubes. If you're wondering how many of each to buy, splitting your coins 50/50 should be okay - which is easy since both cubes cost 7 coins each. Now transfer these cubes to your main via the cash shop.

Cube your accessories to legendary. I usually do this by:
1. First use premium red cubes (via Lilin in the FM) until my gear is 3-Line Unique. I only do it this way because its fast lol...
2. Use red cubes to get to Legendary with at least 1 line of +20% item drop
3.
Repeat this on the rest of you drop gear.

Great now that you have your drop gear, to hit 600% you'll need to get a drop familiars and 2x coupons.
You're going to need at least 2 sets of familiars for this. The 3 drop familiars I know of are:
1. Big Spider ~70-80m each
2. Mutant Ribbon Pig ~30m each
3. False Daiymo ~300m each
All of the above familiars can be bought in the auction house. For each set you'll need 3 familiar cards (i.e. a set of big spiders will cost you ~200-250m)
For this reason I suggest new players put in some time to just farm these cards themselves: I'd do it like this (after you've already made most of your drop gear):
1. Mutant Ribbon Pig Familiars in Future Heneseys
2. Big Spider Familiars in Verne Mine

More link skills for an easy boost in range. The best ones to make in my opinion are highlighted below. Now you should make all your mules level 140.
Make sure you link your skills and set up your maple legion.

1534200569025.png
The best classes for links for RANGE are Hayato, Xenon, Cannoneer, Demon Avenger, and Kanna.
The best classes for increased UTILITY are Phantom, Luminous, Beast Tamer, Illium
Once again, Zero's give a nice boost to EXP rates.

At this point, you'll want to start doing your daily legion quests that you can get from Dame Appropriation. The quests will ask you to kill 100 Whelps and 20 Golden Wyvrens. You can access these by going to your Legion UI and clicking "START RAID". After you finish the quest you'll be awarded Legion Coins.

・ Legion Coins・
Legion coins can be used to upgrade your Legion rank.

・ Legion Rank・
Upgrading your Legion rank will open more slots to add more characters and thus more bonuses and will open more slots on your legion board so new stats can be obtained.

See this guide for more about the Legion UI.

Gear you can get easily for increasing range:
Obtain the badge from CBD's Ralph. Get more information about the questline here.
This should be cubed for at least 18%+ stat.

Emblem can be obtained from lightbulb quest.
This should be cubed for ATT% or MATT%. Generally 18%+ is a good starting point. Aside from ATT, %Boss Damage and %Ignore Enemy Def. are also very nice stats to have.

Get a Secondary weapon. This can be bought from Neville in Henesys: Henesys Market.
Neville.png
This should be cubed for ATT% or MATT%. Generally 18%+ is a good starting point. Aside from ATT, %Boss Damage and %Ignore Enemy Def. are also very nice stats to have.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
・ Stage 2 Funding: Getting Clean Gear・
For leveling up you get rewards. This includes exp coupons, normal and bonus potential scrolls, gear, etc.
The only items you get that are worth anything is your Pinnacle Gear and Perfect Bonus Potential Stamp.
The Perfect Bonus Potential Stamp is worth 280~300m. Yay your first somewhat large sum!

Monster Park is the first step in funding your character now that you're level 200. For this you'll need the drop gear to made previously for this method.
1. one-shot mobs (~100k Range)
2. 600% drop rate (drop rate familiar, drop gear, 2x drop coupon)
3. Gagagucci (Pet Vacuum)
4. Monster Park Ticket

**note: If you haven't hit at least 100k range yet, see the tips for increasing range in the "Starting Out on Your Main" section.

Petvacs are usually sold by people in smegas; prices go by the hour (currently ~20m/hour)
If you can't currently afford a petvac do a couple monster park runs without one to get some money first.

From monster park you get Monster Park Coins:
1534190244600.png
Generally, you'll want to do runs in Knights Stronghold, this gives you ~70 coins/run (assuming you've satisfied the above requirements). With the monster park coins you get you can buy from Laku in the Monster Park map.
1534190531583.png
From this shop you can sell Shield Scroll, Chaos Scroll of Goodness 30%, Super Scroll, and Star Force Super Scroll.

・ Prequest・
For this boss you'll have to do quite a long prequest but its worth it! Watch this for a prequest guide.

・ Runs・
Before you have enough range to solo Hellux you'll want to get leech from people. Usually people will smega something along the lines of:
R> hellux + 2CR, fame and apply
Basically this means they'll do the boss once (since the daily limit is once) and they'll do 2 additional runs, "coin runs", so you can get extra coins.

・ Gollux Coins・
From Gollux you can get 2 kinds of coins: Green and Blue. If done properly, you should get ~25-30 green coins per day. I don't know how many blue coins, but it doesn't really matter.

The Green Gollux Coins should be used ONLY (and in this suggested order) on:
1. Superior Gollux Ring
2. Solid Gollux Ring
3. Reinforced Gollux Ring
4. Superior Gollux Earring
5. Advanced Gollux Scroll
The rings and earring are part of your end game gear. I suggest holding onto Advanced Gollux Scrolls, as you will need a lot to fully scroll your Superior/Reinforced Ring, Superior Earring and Superior Pendants. Solid Rings can only be scrolled with Basic Gollux Scrolls.

The Blue Gollux Coins should be used DAILY on:
1. Basic Gollux Scrolls
These will be used to scroll your Solid Gollux Ring. Also you can sell these, after you complete your solid ring, however the price isn't too significant.

This is a nice daily to do because it very easy and requires no prequest. Once you reach level 190 you can go to Dark World Tree: Deserted Camp. One of the NPCs give you 3 daily quests which each gives you 1 Faint Stigma Spirit Stone (Faints), for a total of 3 per day.

・ Faint Stigma Spirit Stones・
These Faints can be exchanged (along with Stigma Stones) for Absolab coins. You have two options on what you want to do with your faints:
1. Faints can currently be sold at 50m each, thus totaling 150m/day.
2. You can hold onto you faints and eventually buy shoulder service when you have 60 total
**note: I believe saving your faints up is the better option (further explained in "Shoulder Service", after you get your shoulder feel free to continue these daily quests and sell for a easy 150m/day.

・ Dark World Tree Coin Shop ・
You can exchange Absolab coins for
1. Absolab Weapons (8 coins)
2. Absolab Shoulders (2 coins)

・ Shoulder Service ・
Many people with higher range like to sell Shoulder Service. This requires higher range because in order to exchange for Absolab coins you also need 2 items that only drop from Damien. This service usually will run around 300-400m if you provide the faints, and ~3b if you buy "full service" (they provide faints). This is the reason i suggest holding onto your faints; for a little bit of work and patience you can get your Absolab Shoulder for a much cheaper price.

Party quests are a really nice way to make money, about 600-800m per day. To learn how to do party quests, this is a pretty nice guide.

・ How to PQ・
Just wait for someone to smega:
R>FPQ (or something along these lines)
Then go to their channel and apply to their party.

・ PQ Points・
For each PQ you do (you'll do around 20ish per day), on average, you'll be awarded a little more than 2,000 PQ points which you can then use in the PQ shop. Generally I would advise you to only buy:
Gold Bonus Potential Stamps
Superior Shielding Ward (SSW)
Innocence Scroll 40%

Each of the above items are currently sold on the market for ~200m.

**note: I like to buy and sell Innocence Scrolls the most because they can be bought for 14.000 PQ points whereas the other two are worth 15,000 PQ points, at the while being the same price. Also innocence scrolls are easily sold in the Auction House, so the price at which you can sell these are, generally, going to be a bit more stable then trying to smega-sell a SSW.

WILL ADD

With the money you get I would suggest you first buy all your clean gear and cube them to at least 18%+ stat.
Again, your stat depends on your class.

Best gear to buy first:
Fafnir Top, Bottom, Hat and Weapon
Tyrant Cape, Belt, and Shoes
Superior Gollux Pendant (SGP)
Scarlet Ring
Absolab
Gloves and Shoulder

Here is a more in-depth guide for gear.

**note: I personally did monster park until I had at least 10b (~12-13 hours of monster park over the course of a week) - this allowed me to get a finished 10* CRA weapon (~3b) and the rest of my fafnir and tyrant gear, along with my Scarlet Ring and SGP. I got my Absolab gear a little later because I got bored of farming Monster Park and I also invested some money elsewhere.
The getting a finished CRA weapon is worth it in my opinion because it helps get your 5th job, but if you're not lazy (unlike me) build it yourself!
See next section to find out how to gear.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
・Stage 2 Funding: Improving Your Gear・
Elite Wolf Spiders are a fairly good source of income, they were my personal favorite place to farm after I had obtained and cubed all of my gear to at least 18%+. This is partially because I just got REALLY bored of Monster Park. But the rates here are actually very nice and is amazing for unfunded players just getting into this stage of the game.

・Where They Are・
You can use the quick move tool and move to Wolf Spider Cavern (one of the last maps in the ship icon). As all other Elite mobs, they can be found in channels 11-15.

・Drops・
What makes E-Wolf Spiders such a nice spot to farm is its high rates for farming New Maple Coins, NX and meso. Personally my rates per hour (with 600% drop and ~300% meso) for significant items were:
(200m) Meso
(1100) New Maple Coins
(800) Reward Points
(80) Red Cubes
(350k) NX

For less significant items I got around:
(30) Special Beauty Coupons
(40) Scroll for Claw for ATT 10%
(50) Ilbi Throwing Stars

To Make Money off of New Maple Coin, go to the Elite Channel shop, buy stacks of Bonus Potential Cubes and sell them for ~350-400m per stack (100 cubes)

For the first list, those items are going to be crucial for progression in this part of the guide. The second list of items I sold for extra profit.
Here are current average market prices:
Speical Beauty Coupon: ~140m/stack
Scroll for Class for ATT 10%: 5m each
Ilbi Throwing Stars: 5m each

・Selling Iblis and Scrolls in the Auction House・
Disclaimer: this requires patience and will take time for the items to sell. (I haven't gone to E-Wolf Spiders in a while and I am still selling this items). After every session of farming you should go to your auction house and store your goods in there.
To "store" goods you can just list your times then cancel them, list some more items, cancel those, and so on an so forth.
This can be done because the auction house will store your items as "failed auctions" for up to 1 year for each item in your auction house storage.
When your goods sell just go list some more from the [Auction House>Completed>Failed] tab.

**note: My rates farming here usually netted out to 800m per out (NX and New Maple Coin values included)

**note: Another low level map that is just as good is Elite Ulu Estate 1. This map will not give Ilbis or Scrolls but the rates are still amazing. However, this map is usually filled with botters and finding a map may be difficult.

**note: This is an alternative method to Monster Park. This is the way I farmed my meso only because I didn't like doing MP. If you feel you can bear continuing to farm Monster Park, that is probably a more efficient method.

Scrolling will increase the stats on your gear. Make sure you use Hammers from the Cash Shop to increase the number
of slots you scroll per item (max 2 hammers).

・What to Use?・
In Aries, most of your gear will be scrolled using Super Scrolls (obtainable from Monster Park). There are some exceptions:
All Superior and Reinforced Gollux gear will use Advanced Gollux Scroll
All Solid Gollux gear will use Basic Gollux Scroll

・How to Get Super Scrolls?・
Super Scrolls can be bought from Laku for 800 coins in Monster Park. Assuming you are still doing Monster Park, just farm and farm and farm coins until you farm enough super scrolls to fully scroll all of your gear.
If you decided to go grind at Wolf Spiders or Ulu Estate just buy from people who semga:
S> MP boxes
or
S> Super Scrolls
Boxes shouldn't be too expensive to afford. But if you're running tight on meso, sell a stack of Bonus Potential Cubes.

・Scrolling・
To scroll you'll just need some spell trace and the super scroll. Make sure you select "Super Scroll" when you scroll.

Star Force is a way to further add stats to your items after an items scrolling slots are maxed out. Each star you obtain will increase you total "Star Force" by 1. Some maps will require you to have a certain amount of star force to be able to kill the monsters. However this isn't very important in Aries since none of the maps you'd train in are star force maps.

・Starring・
To star your gear click the red hammer in your inventory window.

1534445012544.png
Then drag the item you want to star force into the blue box that says "Place Equipment Here". Make sure you have star catching enabled because this will give you more chance to add a star which means you'll spend less time and less meso to get high stars.

・How Far Should I Star?・
Equipment starts will have a chance to blow up upon failure starting at 12+ stars. So a good place to stop starring your equipment is 12 stars.
Superior Items - such as tyrants - should not be starred using this method.

・Starring Tyrants・
Starring tyrants are going to be more difficult. To star these items it is recommended that you use Superior Shielding Wards (SSW) and Advanced Equip Enhancement Scrolls (AEE) to increase stars. This is because starring a Tyrant is very expensive on its own, and using AEEs + SSWs will save you time and money. SSWs will prevent your items from blowing up in the case that your AEE fails.
**note: This method will only work up to 7 stars for Tyrants

Will add

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
8.13.2018 - Created & Added a bunch of stuff
8.16.2018 - Added "Dailies" under "Stage 2 Funding: Getting Clean Gear"; started "Improving Your Gear".

Since I am a new player, I read your guide, but I wonder what a drop gear does, why do you need it, to get what?
Further I do not understand how to level in DIPQ, I fail at Stage 3, not enough dmg to kill all enemies fast enough...
Where is another good location to level when you are out of tries in DIPQ and EvoLab?

EDIT: oh, i see for lvl 200 in Monster park, but how to get 100k range, thats the other question...
What equipment do you prefer? I still have my pinaccle set and stuck at 50k range. But I am just lvl 166

Yea this is a work in progress, over the next few days I plan to complete this up to how far I've progressed so far (~lv. 225 and ~7m range)

I was in the same boat as you; best I can say is work on getting to 200 first. DIPQ still gives great exp from the first few stages, so it doesn’t hurt to do all your runs of that as well as Evo Lab to reach that level.

If you’re out of runs for the day, work on some other link skills (Kanna, Demon Avenger, Xenon and Cannoneer are the ones not mentioned that I would recommend - they boost damage massively) and go back to it the next day.

At 190, you get a bonus potential stamp that sells for 250-300m, which you can use to get at least the Japanese gear for your class - this is the first gear I would aim for after the pinnacle. If you can, you can bypass this and go straight for the CRA gear though.

I recommend cubing that gear to at least 12% for your main stat on each piece, that will help your range a lot as well.

Love this guide by the way - thank you op!

Well, I did 3 DIPQ runs and 3 EvoLab runs and only reached 166 (16 levels)... Either I am doing something wrong or what ever...

What is the Japanese Gear called? I am a bowmaster right now, but I can't decide yet what to main though...
CRA is Chaos Root Abyss? What is it called?

Are you running a 2x EXP card when you do the PQs? It feels pretty slow otherwise; granted, that goes for leveling in general lol

The Japanese Gear depends on your job, but for archers, its the "Oyamatsumi" armor set and weapon; similarly, CRA has different names for each job. [And yea, CRA = Chaos Root Abyss]

As far as naming conventions go, I suggest taking a look at this guide; Hene did a great job, and I'm using it still.

I dont even know when I obtained them lol

Hey I also find MP Farming really boring and I have been looking for an alternative method of grinding that is not too bad or far behind MP farming since MP farming is already the best way to get rich. Which Job did you grind with in Elite Wolf Spiders?

I play Wild Hunter. Best low level farming maps are dependent on class but here are the maps:

Elite Wolf Spiders
Elite Ghost Ship 2
Elite Ulu Estate 1

Who's there?
Just wondering can a level 30 earring able to get 20% drop rate?

I'm not sure about this but I believe you'd get 15% max? Correct me if I'm wrong. I personally would go for a higher level earring like the ones dropped for HT, you'll find those in AH for less than 1m.

This really depends if you're rich or not.

Personally I've risked it 4 times and one turned out great, two were decent and the last one was a disaster. I'd use mchaos on GSE, Shoulders, Tyrant items, rings, LGR and maybe even some face and eye accessories. I've also used a mchaos on my CRA hat and I got +9 main stat and +8 att so I just super scrolled it all the way.

Usually you want to mchaos items that don't have many slots (because you usually don't get much out of a super scroll with those items, perhaps a +5 stat boost).

This really depends if you're rich or not.

Thanks for your advice. I'd got the idea of enhancing my equip =) I think I'll mostly cogs most of my items with few slots and super scroll other items with many slots.

May I know the range that is required for the elite mp3, elite ulu and elite spider wolf? I was hoping the know the estimated range so that I would know what i'm aiming for. Thanks!
